Jose Estanislao Cantu Cura Propo. de este Valle, Bautize solemnemente a Jose Narciso espanol parvulo de seis dias de nacido, hijo legimo. de Anselmo Peres, y de Maria Rita Rodriguez vezinos de las Labores de la Cieneguilla de esta jurisdiccion: Fueron sus Padrinos Jose Anto. With All Arms A Study of A Kindred Group by Carl Lawrence Duaine

Just wanted to make you aware of this great book. I have seen great and bad reviews about it. After reading it I saw why some close minded people may be offended but I believe the author meant no harm and just called it as how he saw it.

Anyways, this is not a book review but in my opinion it is a great and valuable book that every Genealogical Library should have. I highly recommend it to anyone who has deep roots in South Texas, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, and Tamaulipas.

It also turned out to be very interesting and undoubtedly super informative as Mr. Duaine not only brought to life our common ancestors but also put them on a historical perspective.

Pedro Anto. de Eznal, Cura Into. de Este Valle, bautizse solemnemte. y puse los ss. oleos y crisma a Ma. Juana Franca. Parba. Espa. de cinco dias de nacida, hija legita. de Pablo Tamez, y de Ma. Ygnacia Cabasos, vecinos de este Valle, en la Hacienda del Cercado: fueron sus Padrinos Jose Luciano Rivera, y Ma. Feliciano Guerra and Tomasa Gonzalez, 1836 Church Marriage, Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico

The following is the 1836 Church Marriage record for my 4th great grandparents Feliciano Guerra and Tomasa Gonzalez. Unfortunately this document does not indicate who their parents are but through other sources I have come to know that the parents of Feliciano are Antonio Maria Guerra and Maria Francisca Pineda. Tomasa parents are Jose Yrineo Gonzalez and Maria Paula Garcia. Feliciano and Tomasa are the parents of Gorgonio Guerra.

En esta Parroquia de la Villa de Mier a los veinte y cuatro dias delmes de Octubre de milochocientos treinta y seis. Yo el Prebto. Jose Ancelmo Fuentes, Cura into. de Esta Villa, haviendo procedido todas las diligs. que previene el [?] amonestados en tres dias festivos inter Misarum Solemnia, segun dispocision del Santo Concilio tredentino. que lo fueron los dias nueve, diez y seis, y veinte y tres de Octe. del precente ano y no haviendo resultado impedimio. algo. pasadas mas de las veinte y cuatro horas acostumbradas despues de la ultima amonestacion. Case y Vele infacie Ecclesia con concentimio. del Senor Br. Dn. Ponciano Jaurequi: Cura de dicha Villa que ha recibido el curato y libros. a Jose Feliciano Guerra con Ma. Tomasa Gonzs. fueron testigs. al verlos casar y Velar Jose Anto. Ybanez y los padrins. que los acompanaron Jose Domingo Garcia y Ma. Nepomucena Guerra. Y para qe. conste lo firme.
