About Me – Moises Garza Tanguma
I started this blog last year, and if memory serves me right it was on September 13 2010. I started it as as a way to share my family genealogy, local history, and resources about South Texas and Northeastern Mexico where both my family and my wife's family have strong roots entrenched in over 300 years of history. I also started this blog in hopes that it becomes a resource to others in their same quest as mine.
My interest in Genealogy started around the middle of the 1990's when my grandmother handed my father a piece of paper that contained the names of her grandparents and said that she did not the names of her great-grandparents. Even though this made me become interested I was only doing research every other day. It all changed when my first son was born in 2010. I started to document and gather as much information as I could about my side of the family and also my wife's. As a note: my grandma's the Marroquine's I have traced them back till the 1600's with original documentation.
At first I was worried as to what to write and post but all those great emails that I have received since starting this blog have reinforced the need for it. I love to get those emails thanking me for this blog. There are many success stories out there. If you ever have one because of this blog let me know I'll love to hear about it and also you can share it with all its reader by doing a guest post.
