Gorgonio Guerra Gonzalez and Felicita Guerra Gonzalez, 1857 Church Marriage in Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico

The following is the 1857 Curch Marriage of my 3rd great grandparents Gorgonio Guerra Gonzalez and Felicita Guerra Gonzalez. They were married in Ciudad Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Gorgonio's parents are listed as Feliciano Guerra and Tomasa Gonzalez. The parents of Felicita are listed as being Antonio Guerra and Refugio Gonzalez.

En la Parroqa. de la Villa de Mier a los quinse dias delmes de Junio demil ocho cientos cincuenta y siete: Concluidas las diligencias Matrimoniales y leidas segun lo dispone el Sto. Concilio se trento las tres moniciones conciliares en tres dias festivos y seguidas qe. lo fueron el treinta y uno de Mayo siete y once de Junio del corriente ano, y no haviendo resultado ningn. empedimiento ni aun pasadas veintecuatro horas desps. de la ultima amonestacion, expresado su mutuo consentimiento por palabras de presente ante mi el cura propio D. Franco. de P. Benavides, lo contrajose D. Gorgonio Guerra solto. y vecino de esta h.l. de D. Feliciano Guerra y de Da. Tomasa Gonzalez qe. viven, y Da. Felicitas Guerra del mismo origen y vecindad h.l. de D. Antonio Guerra y de Da. Ma. del Refugio Gonzalez e imediatamente los vele y vendije segun los ritos de N.M. la Yg. She is the daughter of Gregorio Fernandez de Tijerina and Beatriz Gonzalez Hidalgo. Ignacio is the son of Antonio Guerra and Luisa Hernandez de Rio Frio.

Ramos/Cuellar : from Pedro Eufracio Ramos & Bartolome Cuellar of Nuevo Leon to Julia Ramos Cantu of Texas, c. 1650-1983

I was just searching for last names of my ancestors on the FamilySearch's Family History Books and came across Ramos/Cuellar : from Pedro Eufracio Ramos & Bartolome Cuellar of Nuevo Leon to Julia Ramos Cantu of Texas, c. 1650-1983 by Richard Cristobal Hernandes jr. and Mark A. Phillips. Turned out to be an excellent book very well researched. This book contains alot of information not just on the Ramos and Cuellar from Ciudad Mier and Revilla/Ciudad Guerrero Tamaulipas Mexico but also on many other people from the same area.

The author did an excellent job with the family trees and family group sheets. This work helped me fill in many gaps in my research and it is a very good read. It also includes alot of history of the area.

If your interest is in this area and or last names are Ramos or Cuellar then I highly recommend that you download your copy and read it, you can thank me later.

Ana de Benavides, 1677 Church Death Record, Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico

The following is the 1677 Church Death Record for my 11th great grandmother Ana de Benavides. Her husband was Joseph de Ayala. I am her descendant through her daughter Catalina (Catarina) de Ayala. Here parents were Francisco Baez de Benavides and Isabel Martinez Guajardo.
