Play any Genealogy video with MX Player For Your Android Device

As you all may be aware, I bought a Kindle Fire some time back. I soon became frustrated with video file types and trying to encode video to play on my Kindle Fire. I soon gave up and thought that there had to be a better way. Soon after I hit the Android Market and Amazon App Store. I must have tried at least five different players until I came across MX Player.

I finally had the capability of just downloading webinars and other videos to my Kindle Fire with no problems. I strongly recommend this player for any Android Phone and or Android Tablet. It will play almost any video file with no need of encoding.

This app has received over 64,636 five star reviews. By the way there is a free version and a paid one. I am using the free one and it only has some advertisements but when the video starts they are hidden right away.

To install go to Android Market.

1861 Baptism of Jose Demetrio Tanguma Pena Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico

This is the image and transcription to the 1861 Baptism of my 2nd great grand uncle Jose Demetrio Tanguma. It was through him that I found the grandparents of my great grandfather Juan Tanguma. As you can see it is always good to do research on all the family members, you never know what you will uncover.

Why are there advertisements at WeAreCousins?

It is a very good question and thus let me answer it. As many of you know I started this blog as a way to share my family genealogy and history with others doing the same or similar research. I also wanted to create a place where I could meet other people with the same interests and so far I believe that these goals have been meet. I have enjoyed posting articles every day and have meet many great people along the way and hope to meet even more as I continue this journey. I have also behind the scenes helped many doing research in this area and it feels great when you get those thank-you emails.

This blog has also pushed me to continue to research my family and also made me realize that if I am going to post something I better be certain that it is true and I thank those of you that have pointed out some errors in my research and upon further evaluation, I have continued on the right path.

I am grateful for all those faithful readers out there since without you, your comments, and emails I don't think I could have kept this blog going this far.

Don't think that I have forgotten about the advertisements, well the answer is simple the registration for the domain name and a separate hosting plan that I associate with this blog are pretty soon going to be up for renewal. There that is the reason, since I figured what the heck let me use Amazon.com to try and cover those costs. So please keep in mind if you are going to buy anything at Amazon.com click on any link in this website and I will get a little amount from every purchase you make with them. I think it is a great deal, you get to buy what you want and at the same time help support this blog. For example:  Genealogy Products at Amazon.com

1818 Church Marriage of Francisco Salinas Pena and Maria Celedonia Ynojosa Lopes, Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico

The following is the 1818 church marriage of my 5th great grandparents Francisco Salinas Pena and Maria Celedonia Ynojosa Lopes. He was the son of Francisco Salinas and Maria Petra Pena. She was the daughter of Francisco Xavier Ynojosa and Maria Monica Lopes. They got married in Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. This document also indicates that both of them where from "Rancho La Manteca" present day Los Herreras, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. It is also interesting that it indicates that they are related by 2nd and 3rd degrees of consanguinity.

Manage your Genealogy E-books with Calibre E-book Management Software

If you are like me, and I am pretty sure most of you are, your Genealogy E-book collection is growing. Well check out Calibre! It is a free e-book management software that can get the description to your e-books and covers. The way I like to see it, it is my own library on my computer.

What I really like about it is that it can handle almost any file type as mobi, txt, pdf, and many more. It can also convert them from one file format to another. Best of all it connects to your kindle to easily transfer the ebooks to it.

Calibre, also creates a website with your collection, thus making it accessible from anywhere. Sure there is some tinkering involved but it can be done. That is the preferred methot I get my ebooks from my collection to my kindle.

By the way did I mention that it is free!! Well what are you waiting check them out.
